When the day nears noon,
the sun tucks in its shadows;
none will miss the light.

We have reached the mid-point of the June circle as this day now begins the journey back toward the beginning of the month and speaks across the circle to the June 1 haiku (“Birthday”) which in another way talks about starting to see the light.

Furthermore, we are also nearing the noontide of the larger annual circle as we approach the midpoint of the year and the midturn of the ring composition in which the major themes of the whole cycle are revealed.
